The Science Museum Valencia (Museu de les Ciències) is located in Valencia's famous City of Arts and Sciences, more popularly known as Ciudad de las Artes y Ciencias. The museum has a working Foucault pendulum and dinosaur skeletons, and is located close to the cutting-edge Hemisfèric.
Part of Valencia's monumental City of Arts and Sciences, the Hemisfèric and its sister buildings look as if they were plucked out of a Sci-Fi utopia. Along with the city's science museum and the Oceanogràfic aquarium, the Hemisfèric is the final part in the trifecta of entertainment in Valencia's center. While the Hemisfèric's design is still pushing boundaries today, its opening goes all the way back to 1998. Speaking of opening, make sure you pay attention to the reflection of the building on the water; you'll see how it got its nickname as the 'Eye of Knowledge'. Inside, you'll find a colossal 900-square-meter IMAX screen showing educational films that push the limits of the medium and add a touch of novelty with 3D projections. Alongside the cinema, there's also a planetarium offering an insight into the universe.
