The beautiful and historic building in which the Wereldmuseum Amsterdam is housed is a little out of the main tourist areas. It's in leafy Amsterdam Oost, not far from the Artis Zoo.

Formerly the Tropenmuseum, this museum is dedicated to other cultures and countries, and is one of Amsterdam's hidden treasures.
