Summit ONE Vanderbilt FAQs

As this experience will take you across three levels and six experiential immersive spaces, give yourself 60-90 minutes to enjoy it all. Make that a little longer if you're sticking around for a cocktail in Après, the indoor-outdoor bar & café.

You can buy tickets both online and at the venue.

However, if you buy at the venue, keep in mind that ticket counters have long lines and you can often wait up to 45 minutes during weekends and holidays. During the peak tourist season, you can easily wait an hour or two at the ticket counter.

While SUMMIT One Vanderbilt does not have a sit-down restaurant on the premises, you can purchase a la carte food and drinks from Après, the indoor/outdoor café and bar up on the highest level.

Summit One Vanderbilt does not offer an on-site parking facility. If you do have to come by car, you'll find covered valet parking at 475 Park Avenue South, 866 UN Plaza (430 East 49th Street) and 122 E 60th St (750 Lexington Ave).

The nearest subway lines are the 4, 5, 6, 7, and Shuttle at Grand Central, 42nd Street. To get there by bus, catch the M101, M102, M103, M1, M2, M3, M4, Q32, or M42.

Architects Michael Arad and Peter Walker designed the 9/11 Memorial. Their proposal, called Reflecting Absence, consists of two reflecting pools that sit in the footprints of the South and North Towers. They're fed by waterfalls (the largest manmade waterfalls in the United States) and surrounded by a forest of nearly 400 trees. The accompanying 9/11 Museum has an exhibition divided into three sections, the Day of 9/11, Before 9/11, and After 9/11. It uses artifacts, photos, and an extensively researched and well laid out collection to show how the events of 9/11 changed the world.
