Tuscany's Duomo of San Gimignano, also called the Collegiata di San Gimignano is a beautiful frescoed arch that has survived centuries without any restoration work. In spite of being bombed during World War II, the vivid frescoes from the 13th century still remain as bright as ever, making this one of Europe's most treasured buildings. The adjoining Museum of Sacred Art is home to valuable pieces from the Collegiata, plus surrounding convents and churches.
