You'll feel like a real Greek and Roman citizen from 2,000 years ago when you walk through the Ruins of Empúries, in a unique corner of the Costa Brava. Empúries is one of the best preserved historic settings in Catalonia, made even more impressive thanks to its location by the sea at L’Escala on the south of the Bay of Roses.

Visitors can see items from archeological digs in the remains of two cities, one Greek and one Roman. UNESCO has named Ruins of Empúries one of the most beautiful historic sites in the world.

Gala Dalí Castle, or the Castle of Púbol, is a medieval castle located in Púbol, Girona, in the region of Catalonia. The castle was famously bought by legendary Surrealist painter Salvador Dalí, as a gift for his wife, Gala, who lived out her twilight years here, and is buried in the castle crypt. During her stay in the castle, she was visited by her husband, but only when he had advance written permission.
