We didn’t realize the tickets we booked only included a 15minute spiel up top and then a free roaming self-guided tour, so we were a little disappointed. The spielman himself was VERY engaging and funny, and I wish we could have had more time with him and his information. Additionally, we booked on St. Wenclas day, and there was no note about how the palace itself would be closed to touring due to the public holiday when we booked. I believe the ticket was even the same price as regular days when you CAN access extra areas, so a little let down by that too.
BUT, the castle grounds themselves were really beautiful, and there were so many amazing things to see. Worth buying access to get inside the building because that church was breathtaking.

the castle and surrounding area is amazing. It was an easy tram ride from Old Town to get there. The intro talk was informative, the audio guide was very helpful in understanding the exhibits. ...
