Tips for visiting PortAventura World

If you get to PortAventura World when it opens, you should beat the crowds to the big thrill-seeker rides. There's a lot you can do in a day!

Many people plan to spend at least 2 days making the most of their PortAventura tickets. Be sure to drink a lot of water as you enjoy the attractions and leave some of the best rides for lunchtime when things calm down a little.

In short, yes! There are 20 restaurants inside PortAventura World, and each fits into its themed world. There's something to suit everyone's tastes, from American fare to Mexican, Chinese, Polynesian and Mediterranean.

Your PortAventura tickets buy you fun in the almost-guaranteed sun, thanks to the Mediterranean climate.

The best time to visit PortAventura is between June and August, but there's always something on at Spain's most popular amusement park.

Join the party at Carnival, let loose during your summer holiday, participate in a spooky Halloween line-up, and make family memories during the Christmas season -- there's never a bad time to visit!

The park is strict about its "no food from the outside" rule. You might have your bags checked at the entrance, so if in doubt, leave all your food in the lockers before entering.

Animals are not permitted inside PortAventura World, with the exception of guide dogs. There are boarding kennels if you need to leave your pets at the entrance.

Get the family up early and you'll get plenty of time on this top day out from Barcelona.

It's possible to get a direct train from Barcelona PortAventura from Sants, Paseo de Gracia or Estació de França stations; the journey takes around 1 hour 15 minutes.
