Appreciated the ability to not stand in line as it was raining. The Palace was beautifull.

Sintra was overcrowded with tourists. Each site had hundreds milling around. We sat in traffic jams for two hours and eventually returned to the railway station and returned to Lisbon without visiting any site. If you are young, fit and patient it might be a place worth visitting. Very sad, it doesn't have the infrastructure to cope.

About: National Palace of Sintra
The National Palace of Sintra has a thousand-year history. In fact, the original Moorish Palace belonged to the Portuguese Crown, after the conquest of Lisbon in 1147. Sintra has some of the country's most incredible architecture, and it's just a short train or car ride from Lisbon.
