This palace was huge, ornate and beautiful --truly the Versailles of Portugal as is claimed. The gardens were extensive and lovely with some impressive fountains.

One of my very favorite things that I did in Lisbon. I absolutely loved it! The palace was stunning and I loved getting lost in the gardens. It also wasn’t crowded when I went, which was super nice.
