Visit the historic pharmacy house of the Andechs monastery near the pilgrimage church on the Holy Mountain in Bavaria, which has been restored to how it was over 200 years ago.

Inside, find an accurate recreation of an 18th-century pharmacy, complete with historical instruments, medicines, and herbs. You will see original decorated doors and colorful baroque ceiling frescoes.

Explore the ground floor and learn about early modern pharmacy and the history of medicine at Andechs Monastery through four stations featuring various media. The highlight in this old historical building is the selective use of virtual reality. This makes connections more understandable and easier to comprehend.
