Maison de Balzac is a museum located in the last-surviving residence of novelist Honoré de Balzac. It is here that Balzac edited his magnum opus, La Comédie Humaine, and wrote some of his finest novels, including La Rabouilleuse, Une ténébreuse affaire, and La Cousine Bette.
La Monnaie de Paris, or the Paris Mint, is a government-owned institution responsible for producing France's euro coins. Founded in 864 AD, it is the world's oldest continuously-running minting institution.
