  • You can download a self-guided tour from the Louvre's website or pick up a multimedia guide (both for a fee of €6, may require a valid ID deposit)
  • Please note that items exceeding 55 cm x 35 cm x 20 cm are not permitted in the museum. Self-service lockers are available free of charge beneath the Pyramid

We beat the long lines due to an early arrival. It was quick going through the entrance. All interaction with museum personnel were A+. We went without tour guide but made use of Headphone/Ipad...
We beat the long lines due to an early arrival. It was quick going through the entrance. All interaction with museum personnel were A+. We went without tour guide but made use of Headphone/Ipad system. My battery lasted the whole walk through. My wife's Headphone/Ipad died twice after 2 hours on each unit. Mona Lisa viewing set up was packed and not very organized. The Dutch Master's section were deserted and closed quickly on Friday night. So much to see! Was amazed at the size of some paintings especially Jacques-Louis David's works. David & Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres are two of my favorite Neo classical realist painters. Also into several Dutch artists like Vermeer & Rembrandt van Rijn. Was amazed on how many amazing artists I was not familiar with...
