Despite its shuttering in 1994, the Aldwych Station has taken on multiple roles – from a haven for Londoners during the Blitz to a stunning set for film and TV masterpieces like The ABC Murders, Darkest Hour, Sherlock, and Atonement.

The expedition provides an irresistible chance to go to the station’s hidden corners – the ticket hall, the original elevators, deserted platforms, tunnels, and clandestine walkways visited by a select few.
  • There is a lot of walking involved, and the tour is not step-free (no elevators)
  • The meeting point for this tour is outside the entrance of Aldwych Station on Surrey Street, WC2R 2ND
  • Please note that this entrance is different to the one that is facing the Strand
  • A staff member will meet you on arrival
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before the time on your ticket
