About: Lagos Zoo

Soaked up all the sun along the beaches of the Algarve? Head a little bit inland and you'll find a new exotic escape. There are more than 140 species in the Lagos Zoo, and it's only a 15-minute drive north of Lagos' town center. The zoo is accredited by the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA) and even has a picnic and a swimming pool, so bring lunch and something to swim in!
