About: James Simon Gallery

The James Simon Gallery is the main entrance building to Berlin's Museum Island. Opened in 2019, the building and exhibit space is devoted to the Berlin State Museum's early 20th century donor who contributed more than 10,000 objects to the museums.

As a Jewish man, James Simon's contributions and his importance to the museums were downplayed under the policies of the Nazi regime, but he once again has the due credit owed to him with this space.
