About: Fiumicino Ship Museum
Get a chance to marvel at the hulls of ancient Roman ships which were unearthed from the original lagoon in the Harbour of Claudius.
In order to preserve the fragile wooden remains and display them, the hulls were restored in the ‘60s and in 1979 the Roman Ships Museum was inaugurated in the place of their discovery.
