Colosseum is great , a real masterpiece but due to crowds is hard to enjoy it as it should. Also don't understand why couldn't receive some QR coded instead of printed tickets.

I'm glad we booked our tickets as even in January there were large crowds and the queues were long. There is quite a long walk from the Metro to the Mamertine to collect the tickets and return to...
I'm glad we booked our tickets as even in January there were large crowds and the queues were long. There is quite a long walk from the Metro to the Mamertine to collect the tickets and return to the Colosseum so allow plenty of time,

Excellent
It was a wonderful visit and one of the most peaceful places I found while in Rome. The location of Peter and Paul’s imprisonment was a highlight for our trip.
