  • Over-sized packs and luggage are not permitted. There are also no storage lockers at Pier 33
  • The contour of Alcatraz Island is rugged and steep. The distance between the dock and Alcatraz prison is about 1/4 mile (.4km), and the elevation change is 130 ft (40 m)
  • Sustainable Easy Access Transport (S.E.A.T.) is available to those with mobility impairment
  • Consuming food is only allowed at picnic areas

Aquarium of the Bay is located at San Francisco's popular PIER 39. Its focus, as the name suggests, is local aquatic animals from the San Francisco Bay (and nearby waterways). There are three main exhibit areas, each with a specific point of focus.
