We had booked for a group of eight. The driver (it wasn't really a guide) took us from San Sebastian to Getaria, giving us 45 minutes to explore on our own. The Txakoli winery is beautiful. The cellar tour was interesting. However, the price was very high for what was offered. The tasting included four small miniardises. The driver dropped us back in San Sebastian at 1:00 PM instead of the promised 2:30 PM. Finally, two people couldn't make it because they were sick, and no compensation was offered. You'd be better off exploring Getaria on your own and discovering Txakoli in the tapas bars of San Sebastian.

The Chillida Leku Museum is a unique art museum 10 minutes outside of San Sebastian. The museum consists first and foremost of the immense sculpture garden, where the monumental works of Basque sculptor Eduardo Chillida are displayed. Designed as a fusion between art and nature, the sculptures are integrated into the landscape as if they had always been part of it.
