The Blending Bench
About: d'Arenberg Cube
Since 1912 the Osborn family have grown grapes and made wine in the picturesque surrounds of McLaren Vale. Today, fourth generation family member Chester Osborn is at the winemaking helm, making distinctive wines using traditional methods in the winery and the vineyard.
The idea to build the d'Arenberg Cube came to Chester Osborn in 2003. Inspired by the complexities and puzzles of winemaking, Chester created the idea of a cube-shaped building.
Each of the five levels have been carefully designed to entice and excite the senses, including features such as a wine sensory room, a virtual fermenter, a 360º video room, and many other tactile experiences.
Make sure to explore the Alternate Realities Museum, located on the ground floor, and visit the many art installations on display.
The home of field sports in Adelaide, the Adelaide Oval has been used for cricket, Aussie rules football, rugby league, rugby union, soccer, and tennis. Even when there are no games being played, this giant sporting cauldron is one of Adelaide's top attractions, with awesome behind-the-scenes guided tours and a vertigo-inducing roof-climb experience.
RoofClimb Adelaide Oval is situated at Adelaide's most famous sporting stadium. Courtesy of a multimillion-dollar renovation, you can take an Adelaide Oval roof walk and delve into a sporting history going back 140 years.
It's not just sporting yarns on offer – RoofClimb Adelaide Oval also boasts some of the best views in city. Gaze out to the ocean, the rolling hills, and the skyline of Adelaide, during the day or as the sun disappears behind the horizon.
