Good
The Castle is steeped in history and that history is well presented with good narrative. The condition of the castle is excellent and it is a wonderful experience.

Excellent
Very secure entry. Covid passes required from all visitors. It was quite quiet as the tourist season is winding down, but very easy to navigate through.

It features double defensive walls with 52 watchtowers, a castle with a museum, a Gothic cathedral, and other notable historic buildings. It inspired the popular board game Carcassonne and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997.
