Excellent
Went to visit because of The Count of Monte Cristo relationship. Our grandkids had fun exploring and the ferry ride over and back. Views of Marseille were beautiful from the tower. Bought tickets...
Went to visit because of The Count of Monte Cristo relationship. Our grandkids had fun exploring and the ferry ride over and back. Views of Marseille were beautiful from the tower. Bought tickets on line and ferry tickets at dock.

Excellent
It was perfect from start to finish. Had fast track tickets so no queuing, it never felt crowded and the prison was beautiful with fantastic views. There is a restaurant with great views.

It was awesome to see where the Count of Monte Cristo "took place", even you get to see the cells in which the story took place.

The Château d'If is an island fortress located on the island of If. It was the inspiration behind the classic novel The Count of Monte Cristo.
It's located roughly 1.5 kilometres offshore in the Bay of Marseille and can be reached easily by regular boat.
