About: Cathedral of Naples, Chapel of St. Januarius

The Chapel of San Gennaro is steeped with religious imagery, but – believe it or not – the space in fact belongs to the laypeople and not the diocese. The deputation in charge of the chapel went to great pains to make sure the location devoted to their patron saint was worked on by only the best, so when you step inside it should come as no surprise that it is a treasure of Baroque art, with the influence of masters of 17th-century Italian art and sculpture visible throughout.
