Booking Buckingham Palace tickets in advance is nearly always required, not only to avoid the crowded lines, but to ensure access to the King's private residence on your schedule.

Buckingham Palace tickets include:

  • Combined admission tickets with Windsor Castle, the Royal Mews or the Queen's Gallery

  • Access to the State Rooms – lavishly decorated public rooms in Buckingham Palace for important royal events

  • Watch the "Changing of the Guard", a royal ritual, on a guided tour of Buckingham Palace

  • A visit typically takes between 1.5 and 2.5 hours

In the palace is very pretty. Try to be on time or you will be left behind. I was late but the tour guide was still nice enough to make me join the tour. Also, you cannot take any pictures.

It was a really interesting experience, but it was a little bit shorter than expected. The audio guide is free and available in multiple languages. It really gives you a lot of informations.
