  • Dress code is smart casual
  • The attraction closes at approximately 19:00. Therefore, for bookings with time slots from 17:40 onward, the duration will be approximately 1 hour instead of the original 2 hours
  • Bring a passport or an ID card, a charged smartphone with internet connection, headsets, and comfortable shoes
  • Disabled visitors can access the basement and collect the ticket through the side entrance, on the right-hand side of the external staircase on the facade, exit the building, and go to the back entrance, at Piazzale Scipione Borghese 5. Once you enter the Gallery, access the second floor via the lift, which has reduced capacity and does not allow the entry of large wheelchairs; wheelchairs are available to borrow on all the floors
St. Peter's Basilica: Audio Guide + Dome Access
  • The elevator will take you to the first level of the Dome. To reach the top you will need to climb around 300 steps
  • To reach the top without an elevator ride, you will need to climb around 550 steps
  • This tour is not recommended for children under 7 years, and adults over 75 years
  • Large bags and backpacks aren't allowed
  • Knees and shoulders must be covered
  • No hats or sunglasses
  • Low-cut or sleeveless tops or shorts aren't allowed
  • No clothing with rips, tears, or transparent material
