Excellent zoo with amazing animals. Just the right size - a surprise around every corner. Plenty of food and drink options around the venue.

The Artis Zoo was great. We loved the capybaras and got a kick out of seeing the racoons. Just be aware that if you have mobility issues, this zoo is hard to navigate in some areas; some exhibits...

Best zoo I’ve ever been to and I have been to Zoo’s in England , Dublin, Scotland, Paris and Rome outweigh them all. Can get so close to animals and great to see the animals have loads of space

The museum of big questions. From communicating plants to a competition with a chimpanzee, or a smell tunnel where recognition and emotion alternate. Expect a personal expedition as you criss-cross through the museum.

Built between 1850 and 1855 for the members of the Society Natura Artis Magistra, it stands on the oldest grounds of ARTIS and at the time was one of the most modern buildings in Amsterdam. The museum, which closed in 1947, has since been completely renovated and restored.
