The only great great sadness was we could not get into San Marco for the other half of the exhibition
I was promised I did not need to book tickets but unfortunately this was not true

What an incredible exhibition. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing Fra Angelico's work in the Palazzo Strozzi setting. SUPERB!

Το Palazzo Strozzi είναι μια από τις σπουδαιότερες αναγεννησιακές κατοικίες της Φλωρεντίας. Ο ισχυρός τραπεζίτης Filippo Strozzi ο πρεσβύτερος ανέθεσε το παλάτι στα τέλη της δεκαετίας του 1400, διατάσσοντας την κατεδάφιση μεγάλου αριθμού προϋπαρχόντων κτιρίων κατά τη διαδικασία.
Το Παλάτσο Στρότσι που βλέπουμε σήμερα είναι ένα ελεύθερο και όμορφα διαμορφωμένο κτίσμα που ξεπερνά το Παλάτι των Μεδίκων των επιχειρηματικών και πολιτικών αντιπάλων του Στρότσι, της οικογένειας των Μεδίκων. Η οικογένεια Strozzi παραιτήθηκε τελικά από το ακίνητο κατά τη διάρκεια της φασιστικής περιόδου και η πόλη της Φλωρεντίας το διαχειρίζεται από το 1999.
Οι επισκέπτες έρχονται τώρα για να δουν μερικές από τις πιο συναρπαστικές εκθέσεις που διοργανώνονται στην Ιταλία κάθε χρόνο.
