Abadia de Montserrat – Informationen & Hinweise

Dieses prächtige Wunderwerk in 4.000 Fuß Höhe ist schon von weitem an seiner "gezackten" Spitze zu erkennen, von der es seinen Namen hat. Das Benediktinerkloster Santa Maria de Montserrat befindet sich in einer Höhe von 2.380 Fuß über dem Meeresspiegel und ist von einer unvergesslichen Naturlandschaft umgeben.

Das Kloster dient seit fast eintausend Jahren als Zentrum für spirituelle Einkehr. Zunächst besichtigen wir die Basilika, in der sich die Jungfrau Santa Maria de Montserrat, die Schutzpatronin Kataloniens, befindet.
