The Australian Sports Museum is exceptionally well arranged, showcasing a wide range of authentic clothing, medals, and sporting equipment. What stood out most during my visit was the Shane Warne Exhibition. In the cricket section, visitors can listen to a 3D projected Shane Warne speaking about his career, which is a truly memorable experience.
The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) Museum, located within the cricket section, is somewhat tucked away, but it is a real gem, filled with fascinating artefacts and stories. Overall, it was a great and memorable experience!

What a great thing to do in Melbourne. Peter, our guide was so knowledgable. He took us through the public and player only areas, into the member only areas and explained all memorabilia we came across, along the way. So good to have a better understanding of such an Australian icon and be able to visualise all the different areas, next time we watch a match played there. Well, well worth the visit.
To finish off we went through the sports museum, which was so comprehensive and really gave a great idea of Australia as a sporting nation.

Lord 's, Wembley, Old Trafford, Eden Gardens a Yankee Stadium patří mezi největší sportovní arény na světě, ale pro historii, čisté drama a emoce je těžké nahlédnout za Melbourne Cricket Ground. Půda byla postavena v roce 1853, kdy tehdejší patnáctiletý kriketový klub Melbourne byl donucen vládou, aby se přestěhoval ze svého bývalého místa, protože trasa prvního australského parního vlaku měla projít oválem.
Od té doby hostil MCG spoustu mezinárodního kriketu, včetně vůbec prvního testu a finále mistrovství světa ve fotbale v roce 1992, bezpočtu velkých finále VFL/AFL a olympijských her v roce 1956.
Dalšími sportovními brýlemi, které se zde konají, jsou australští fotbaloví kvalifikanti na mistrovství světa, domácí a venkovní zápasy rugbyové ligy a State of Origin, mezinárodní střety rugbyových svazů a hry Commonwealthu v roce 2006.
