Having made a number of such trips to visit Stonehenge, I would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting England. As it is a 4 hour round trip road journey, as well as a 2 hour tour while there, it is something you need to save a full day for. Years ago, one could walk right up to the stones, but because of vandals you are now barred from crossing the roped area.But it is still a very well worth while site to visit and experience first hand

They changed the gate without notifying us. Thank god gate was changing from 0 to gate 1 so one of the lady found out gate got changed. We barely made it to the bus at the last minute. The tour...
They changed the gate without notifying us. Thank god gate was changing from 0 to gate 1 so one of the lady found out gate got changed. We barely made it to the bus at the last minute. The tour guy or the driver didn’t explain a word entire trip on both ways. But stone henge is definitely worth to go once in the life.
