A consortium of investors has invested a total amount of USD 1 million in Tiqets.com. Because of the investment, the Amsterdam startup is able to ensure and accelerate its global ambitions.
To accelerate its global growth, Tiqets.com will mainly invest in product development and (mobile) technology. This will enable Tiqets.com to faster and more effectively serve its global partners and it will give its customers the perfect experience while searching and booking tickets and entering a venue. It also helps Tiqets.com to develop its position as the worldwide market leader in the travel entertainment industry. In 2015 there will be a strong emphasis on direct bookable and (mobile) redeemable tickets.
Last year Tiqets.com realized exponential growth in all areas. Tiqets.com closed partnerships with more than 100 ticket partners and more than 40 national and international distribution partners. In September 2014 the organisation successfully launched its own BtoC website, www.tiqets.com, which has resulted in a rapidly growing base of satisfied customers worldwide. Currently the organisation consists of 20 employees of which a team of 10 product and software developers.
In 2013 Tiqets.com was founded with the mission to offer a great entertainment experience to travelers world-wide. Tiqets.com enables travel companies to offer their customers tickets for tours, theater shows, attractions, sporting events, concerts and museums across multiple touchpoints. Distribution partners like airlines, hotel chains and OTA’s integrate the direct bookable content by means of an API, emails, co-branded website or widgets. This approach is unique in the travel industry. The startup also offers these tickets directly to consumers through its website www.tiqets.com.
