We had an excellent guide. It was hard to find the way it worked, as we didn't know where to go to start the tour. It turned out we needed to go inside the prison office and they had a list with our names, then we had to wait in the chapel for our guide. The entrance to each attraction was fast, it was really worth it.

We arrived late so our group left w/o us but we decided to try to go alone. We were granted passes to the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum. We didn't try the Mamertine prison bc we had to... 더 보기

We arrived late so our group left w/o us but we decided to try to go alone. We were granted passes to the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum. We didn't try the Mamertine prison bc we had to go immediately to the Colosseum as it was timed. Later that day we came back to the ruins. It was an awesome experience and I'm so grateful we pursued trying to still get in. Plus kids were very happy to go w/o a guide as the last tour we did took way too long! The location to get your tickets is at the Mamertine prison.
