The museum was really cool. Lots of different paintings, pictures and posters of cats and various bits of information. Also a number of cats were strolling around which were incredibly friendly...

A floor of a Amsterdam canal house full of cat paraphernalia for 10 euros per person. This is only for real diehard cat lovers who don't know how to spend their money.

Il Museo del Gatto (Het KattenKabinet) si trova nel 'Golden Bend' di Herengracht. Situato sul piano nobile di una storica casa sul canale del XVII secolo, vanta un arredamento classico e le sue stanze sono piene di oggetti per gatti (e di gatti veri).

Questa casa (e quella a fianco) appartenevano un tempo alla famiglia Van Eeghen. Nel 1985 venne acquistata dallo Stichting Herengracht 497 e restaurata, diventando infine il paradiso felino che è oggi.

È a breve distanza, via bici o tram, dalla maggior parte dei posti ad Amsterdam.
