Enables you to access the most worthwhile attractions through Orvieto. Note that you need to pick it up at the top of the funicular, before you take the bus into town. Jacobs Well is just down the hill from the Ticket Office, so start with that if you want to do it!

Sobre: Pozzo de San Patrizio
El Pozo de San Patricio se construyó para el abastecimiento de agua de la ciudad de Orvieto en 1527. Su arquitecto, Antonio da Sangallo, aceptó el reto a instancias del Papa Clemente VII.
El pozo, de 53 metros de profundidad, tiene una doble escalera de caracol (de 248 peldaños cada una), y 72 grandes ventanas que toman la luz de una claraboya situada en la parte superior del monumento.
La famosa escalera permitía que los animales de carga bajaran y subieran a por agua sin encontrarse. Aunque su finalidad práctica ya no es necesaria, su belleza e intriga han resistido la prueba del tiempo.
