Despite all the publicity we did NOT get to 'skip the line' !! Apart from that, the staff were very pleasant, the toilets were clean (but no soap in any of the ones we visited) and the visit was...

Escape from the concrete jungle and return to nature at ZooSafari de Thoiry, located just 35 minutes from Paris by car.

Hop in your car and drive an 8 km trail around the park and get up close to 800 different animals! You can even hop out of your vehicle and walk through a glass tunnel, which lets you see the animals up close – you might end up with a couple of lions lying on top of you!

Paris Zoological Park (Parc Zoologique de Paris)

Formerly known as the Bois de Vincennes Zoological Park, the 14.5-hectare Paris Zoological Park recently underwent two years of refurbishment works, giving this famous zoological park major natural environmental features, and plenty of room for the animals to roam. The animal habitats have been grouped five 'biozones', and the zoo has six restaurants and a 4,000 m2 tropical rainforest-filled greenhouse. It's visible from quite far away, thanks to the Big Rock, a 65m-tall artificial mini-mountain, which is an iconic symbol of the Paris Zoological Park.
