Important information

* Pets are not allowed, except for licensed service animals with documentation * A full visit takes around 1.5 hours, but you are welcome to stay as long as you would like before closing
  • Walk through an exotic complex the size of nearly three basketball courts, and meet tons of animals
  • Admire the colours and markings of the park's many butterfly species, and see Amazonian amphibians
  • Step inside the microscopic world of the Insectarium and see a fully functioning leafcutter ant colony

It's easy to forget you're in Canada and not the rain forest. Birds you'd expect to see in the jungle fly overhead, iguanas hug tree branches, and neon-coloured poison dart frogs stand out against the bushes.

In Victoria Butterfly Gardens, you'll find streams full of tropical fish, crashing waterfalls, and singing macaws. It's a perfect respite from the city, full of serenity and nature – as well as being the perfect place to take some interesting photos!

What a great place to visit. So much to see. The kids loved it. We would definitely return next time we're on the island.

Excellent
It was much more than I expected. The jungle area was so interesting, birds and butterflies interactive. I learned a lot about environmental impacts on nature, specific to the butterflies

Easy to book. Can download pdf and keep it so that you do not worry when you are there in the museum. The museum is also kept very well. My husband had some wonderful time here.
