Attractions in Verona

There are no Mickey Mouse ears required at the Disneyland of Italy! One of Europe’s largest amusement parks, Gardaland makes for a great escape if you’re traveling with a family who’s earned a break from historical ruins. Scream, and shriek on over 30 rides, including 7 roller coasters, 3 water rides, 4 dark rides and 3 flat thrill rides and take a walk around some of the picturesque Lake Garda, on the edge of the Dolomites. Garda spans 158km and is dotted with over 20 cute towns, from Riva del Garda in the north to Peschiera in the south.

Verona’s historical center is an international draw, thanks to Shakespeare. In fact, the city’s whole core is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, including the famed 1st-century Verona Arena. While wandering, make sure to stop at Giulietta's Tomb and House. The 14th-century residence, with a tiny balcony overlooking a courtyard, is known to be ‘Juliet’s House’, the crowds of tourists all standing around pointing their cameras up at it makes it easy to find. You won’t see anyone appear, but you should check it off your ‘to see’ list anyway.
