Riva degli Schiavoni

Riva Degli Schiavoni, along the waterfront at St. Mark's Basin in Venice is one of the world's most pleasant walks. It's a broad, wide cobblestoned pedestrian passageway with tourist stalls, tourists, and Old World ambiance. Sure it gets crowded but it's a sight in Venice that must be seen. The monument to Victor Emmanuel II is a popular meeting point for tour groups.

Grand Canal Boat Tour
This was overall the best tour we did in Venice, well worth the money. Meet up point is a bit confusing since ticket office & line service for 2 different companies. Make sure you're on line for PRIVATE GRAND CANAL BOAT TOUR & not the local tour on big boat.

Grand Canal Boat Tour
We were in Venice only for an afternoon (that's all you really need) and the only thing we did was this boat tour. It was perfect for seeing all the sights of Venice. Tour guide was a little less than enthusiastic.

Grand Canal Boat Tour
Informative however not all the people on the boat had a good view because there were outdoor seats on the back of the boat two seats at the front and the rest were inside where there are only small windows with restricted views. There should be less people so that everyone has a chance to see the views properly outdoors.

Grand Canal Boat Tour
Alex, our guide, was very enthusiastic. His commentary which included information on the history of Venice was informative and easily understood. The group of only eight people was a good size for a tour as it gave everyone an opportunity to ask questions.
