While it is pretty to look at inside it was hard to walk around. It seemed you had to pay extra to see other parts of the Basilica which was off putting. Honestly, if it is too busy, I would say...
While it is pretty to look at inside it was hard to walk around. It seemed you had to pay extra to see other parts of the Basilica which was off putting. Honestly, if it is too busy, I would say skip it and go to the Santa Maria Gloriosa instead.

you have to pick up the ticket in a tourist office in a street close to san Marco´s square. The audio guide I was given was not a real audioguide but an App you had to dounload and install in your phone. Normal ticket was a very short tour across the basilic, any extra visit required extra €€.

Sadly we couldn't get access the tour having accessed the app in advance. We constantly got an error message. I eventually logged on to the tour. My husband did not. The tour could have been ready...
