I loved the museum and also the little shop. I only scheduled 1.5 h since I had another appointment afterwards but I definitely would have liked to have more time and read every description,...
I loved the museum and also the little shop. I only scheduled 1.5 h since I had another appointment afterwards but I definitely would have liked to have more time and read every description, because it was very interesting to learn about the Dutch colonisation of Indonesia and Suriname, I learnt a lot, and there was a lot of depth behind each art work. On top of that, literally, there was another exhibition about our world and the toxic relationship we have to plastic. Both very interesting.

The beautiful and historic building in which the Wereldmuseum Amsterdam is housed is a little out of the main tourist areas. It's in leafy Amsterdam Oost, not far from the Artis Zoo. This museum, dedicated to other cultures and countries, is one of Amsterdam hidden treasures.
