Explore a curated selection of contemporary artworks from the UESHIMA MUSEUM COLLECTION, which consists of over 700 pieces by Japanese and international artists centered on the theme of "contemporaneity." Since opening in June 2024, the museum has gained attention from both domestic and international media as well as on social media.

The second exhibition, Thematic Exhibits for Creative Encounters, is curated by Yuko Hasegawa, former director of the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, and features diverse expressions of contemporary art. A new installation by James Turrell will also be part of the permanent collection.

Each floor is themed to create a narrative, encouraging viewers’ imagination and interpretation, with topics including space, pop, geometric serenity, lively stories, love, and glitch. The gallery offers open views of Shibuya and luminous white floors for a unique, floating atmosphere.
