Tickets overview

  • In Italian, fenice means phoenix, the mythical bird that rises from the ashes

  • Teatro la Fenice has experienced two devastating fires in its 230+ year history (1836 and 1996)

  • Expert craftsmen worked to restore decor, furniture, and art after the fires

  • La Fenice has premiered a number of famous operas, including: Verdi's Rigoletto and La Traviata, Rossini's Tancredi and Sigismondo, Bellini's I Capuleti e i Montecchi, Belisario, and Donizetti's Pia de' Tolomei

  • Teatro La Fenice doubles as an exhibition space, hosting permanent and temporary displays featuring singers, musicians, and artists

You don't have to be an opera fan to appreciate the art and architecture of Teatro La Fenice in Venice.

Book tickets in advance for a guided tour of Teatro La Fenice and soak in the grandeur of Venice's premier musical attraction.

Teatro La Fenice tickets include:

  • Explore Teatro La Fenice at your own pace with entrance to the theater and a self-guided audio tour

  • Make the most of a musical adventure and combine a guided tour of Teatro La Fenice with a Four Seasons Concert at another historic Venetian venue – Vivaldi Church

  • Enrich your Teatro La Fenice experience with a live guided tour

  • Shorts, sleeveless tops, and sandals are never considered appropriate attire when attending a theatrical performance, regardless of time of day

  • Performances and tours are suspended in case of flooding (exceptional tide exceeding 140cm above sea level); wear rubber boots in cases of 100cm rise

  • Check the tide forecast before booking your tour or performance tickets

  • Cars aren't allowed in the Venice city center; take line 2 on the vaporetto (water taxi), or line 1 or 2 on the tram

  • All areas of the Teatro La Fenice are wheelchair accessible, including a lift
