Lower your shields and park your horses. It's time to step into a world of ancient mythology, jewelry, design, and symbolic awards and merits from every corner of the world at the Tallinn Museum of Orders of Knighthood. Some of them you'll have heard of, but never seen.

Think of a knight's life as you get up close to The Most Noble Order of the Garter - the highest order of chivalry in the UK and the oldest of all knighthood orders on Earth. Peer in close at its coveted glory, founded in the mid 12th century by King Edward III as a symbolic revival of King Arthur's Round Table. It's like a legend come to life.

The Royal Order of the Seraphim, also known as the Blue Ribbon, is still one of the most prestigious awards today. Witness the rare insignia, only bestowed upon members of ruling houses and other heads of state, who receive their own coat of arms from the order.

Talking of epic awards, picture yourself participating in an elaborate medieval ceremony before receiving The Most Honourable Order of the Bath. This British order of knighthood established by King George I in 1725 really did require new knights to take a bath first (only, none of them ever did!).

Want proof that diamonds are a girl's best friend? Look upon the huge diamond-studded badge of the Order of the White Eagle. Initially awarded to Peter the Great in 1712, it was also used by Catherine the Great of Russia to decorate the Diamond Room - her bedroom.

Truly fascinating and a real reward for anyone who loves to blend history with a little imagination.
