What's not included

Lunch at Lobster Pot pub (at your own expense)
  • Set off from Dublin and head to your first stop, Tollymore Forest, where it all began with wights and dire wolf pups
  • Pass by scenic Strangford Lough and stop at Castle Ward, the filming location for Winterfell in Season One
  • Take hold of a Stark shield and throw on a cloak to pose for photos in the midst of tangled trees

Become the main character on this trek up north to Winterfell. After you depart from Dublin, you'll cross the border and be taken to County Down in Northern Ireland. Visit the filming locations for key events in the series, including the show's prologue and where Robb Stark's bannermen swore fealty to him as King in the North. The tour includes stops at Tollymore Forest Park and Castle Ward.

When you enter Tollymore, you'll see why location scouts chose it as the perfect location for the North. Dense in foliage, with ancient roots covering the earth, you'll feel as if the Old Gods are there with you. Trek through the lush forest in your Stark cloaks, with the chance to stop where Tyrion and Jon camped on their way to the Wall, as well as the exact spot where the dire wolf pups were found.

Located by the shores of Strangford Lough is your next stop – Castle Ward. There are rolling hills and age-old trees, and plenty of memorable Game of Thrones locations. See one of Walder Frey's Twins, Robb's camp in the Riverlands, and the spot where Brienne fought three Northern men.

On your way back to Dublin, stop at Inch Abbey and declare yourself King or Queen in the North. This was where Catelyn and Robb heard the news of Ned's death, and Robb became the first King in the North since the Targaryen conquest.
