Great day out with everything from elks, bears and European bison to historical farmsteads, timber built streetscapes and musical performances. Highly recommended for all the family

A beautiful open-air museum with many exhibits. I recommend visiting the open-air museum in spring, when all the trees are growing.

About: Skansen

Skansen is the world’s oldest open-air museum, and the only open-air museum to feature wild animals. Located in Stockholm, the museum was opened on 11 October 1891 by Artur Hazelius, it illustrates the tapestry of culture and social traditions prevalent in pre-industrialized Sweden.
