A brilliant insight into what prison life was like for those who worked there & those there at her majesties pleasure, we enjoyed it, definitely recommend visiting here.

Fascinating insight into prison life, historical and fairly recently. Wear warm socks my feet got cold! It took about 2 hours for us to explore everything. Very interesting.

Self guided to was okay. The flow and direction need to be clearer. Some of the doors (like the courtyard) need signs on.
The courtyards are not worth seeing.
