It wouldn't be a trip to Seattle without visiting its most famous landmark. The 'Space Needle' pierces the clouds above the city, and boasts an alien spaceship-style viewing platform. Take in views of whale-haven Puget Sound, and the Olympic and Cascade mountains by day. After dark, the city becomes a haze of light surrounding the Needle. Two entries are included, no need to choose!

A nonprofit with a focus on education, 'Seattle Aquarium' is a watery kingdom teeming with wildlife. Meet adorable sea otters and their river-based fellows. Jam with the rockfish, and gaze at majestically mysterious moon jellies. There are 10 exhibits to enjoy, including the 120,000-gallon Window on Washington Waters, and Ocean Oddities.
