unter VR-Tour hatten wir uns etwas anderes vorgestellt. Man bekommt vor der Audio-Guide-Führung ein paar Minuten einmal etwas zu sehen, danach nicht mehr. Das war allerdings sehr gut.

Er is meer dan voldoende parkeergelegenheid. Met het treintje naar boven en terug kost je €4,-. En dat is het meer dan waard! De virtuele tour kan in allerlei verschillende talen, dus ook in het Nederlands. De opzet van de rondleiding vonden we erg fijn. Er loopt één iemand van het kasteel mee met de groep. Met een kastje kun je luisteren naar de verhalen die van toepassing zijn op de bepaalde kamer/ruimte. Bijna alle aanwezige meubelen zijn nog origineel uit de 14e, 15e en 16e eeuw. Alles ziet er nog heel goed uit en de gids voegde in iedere kamer nog wat details toe van geheime vluchtdeuren, kachelovens in slaapkamers, toiletten voor de koningin. Plafonds gemaakt door vakmensen zonder spijkers of schroeven. Eigenlijk te veel om op te noemen. Je mag overal foto's van maken. Dat is dus anders dan in de Hofburg in Innsbruck (fotograferen verboten). Wij vinden het een aanrader. TIP: als je daar wilt lunchen van te voren reserveren.

About: Schloss Tratzberg

Tratzberg Castle is located between Jenbach and Schwaz, high above the Inn Valley, in the middle of Tyrol. The former fortress was first mentioned in history as early as the 13th century. In the following centuries, the former border fortress between Bavaria and Tyrol went through an eventful history: numerous changes of ownership, looting, destruction, rebuilding and a devastating fire in 1492 left their mark on the castle. Today, Tratzberg Castle is one of the most impressive and best-preserved castles in Austria.

In the summer months, the Renaissance jewel can be visited almost daily. Visitors experience how Emperor Maximilian I resided, they marvel at the famous Habsburg Hall or the impressive Queen's Room and the Fuggerstube. Visitors are guided through the approximately 500-year-old, originally furnished rooms by means of an audio guide (in 9 languages).
