Tips for visiting the Santiago Bernabéu

The Santiago Bernabéu Stadium is located north of central Madrid in the Chamartin neighborhood. Real Madrid's grand old home is easily reachable by metro; you can get off at either Cuzco (a seven-minute walk) or the Santiago Bernabéu station (even closer).

The Real Madrid stadium tour includes:

  • The Real Madrid stadium tour includes an opportunity to enjoy a panoramic view of the stadium where Los Blancos go about their trophy-winning ways.

  • You'll also explore the club museum, which, as you might imagine, is full of interactive and physical evidence of Real's decades of football dominance.

  • If there are any temporary exhibitions taking place, you'll see those too – as well as the obligatory exit through the gift shop for all your aficionado needs.

The short answer is no. The long answer is also no.

Real Madrid's world-class grounds staff spend every waking moment ensuring the Bernabéu pitch is in pristine condition for the players. The last thing they want is you trampling on it with your heavy boots or pointed heels, or knee-sliding triumphantly into the corner flag.

Managed to get tickets for a game at the Santiago Bernabéu? Lucky you!

If you want to buy tickets for a stadium tour to feel like a fully-fledged Madridista, just remember that Bernabéu tours finish five hours before kick-off to make sure fans aren't tempted to hide in the first-team dressing room (and for other logistical reasons).
