Witness the Beaux-Arts beauty of City Hall, the famous Painted Ladies at Alamo Square, or even go down the real 'crookedest' street in San Francisco (it's not Lombard Street!)

Then, take the ferry from Pier 33 over to Alcatraz Island, where you can tour the infamous prison!

  • Hotel pickups 09:00-09:30 (exact time depends on location)
  • Pier 33 (Alcatraz Ferry) drop off 13:30
  • Return from Alcatraz 16:30 (approximate)
  • Photo ID is required when purchasing and picking up tickets. Photo ID is required to board the ferry. Photo I.D. is not required for all in your party, but only for those who purchased tickets.
  • Bags larger than a standard backpack, 16" x 20", are not allowed on Alcatraz Island. Over-sized packs and luggage are not permitted. No exceptions. There are also no storage lockers at Pier 33.
  • No one under the age of 18 can be without an adult.
  • The contour of Alcatraz Island is rugged and steep. The distance between the dock and Alcatraz prison is about 1/4 mile (.4km), and the elevation change is 130 feet (40 meters).
  • Sustainable Easy Access Transport (S.E.A.T.) is available to those with mobility impairment.
  • Consuming foods is only allowed at picnic areas.
  • Service dogs are allowed. Pets or companion animals are not allowed.
  • Max group size is 12 participants.
  • Cancellation is possible until 23:59 before your visit.
  • Rescheduling is possible anytime before your visit.
